HOW TO GET TO JUNGLE ROOTS FROM TENA
From Tena follow a road to Talag / Serena / Laguna Azul. We are located on Km 9.3 Vía Talag. Two hundred meters passing Saporumi you find the entrance on the left side of the road. The drive takes about 10-15 minutes.

Taxi from Tena to the camping costs $5 – $6.
Local buses Centinela departs from Terminal Centinal that is just 5 minutes walk away from main Terminal Terrestre. Once you leave the terminal through the main entrance, turn left, cross the big crossroad and walk another 150 meters. Bus to “Talag” leaves every 45 minutes and the last bus departs at 18:30 (6.30 pm). The bus ride costs $0.40 and takes about 20 minutes.
Ask the bus driver to leave you at “camping” 200 meters passing Saporumi.
HOW TO GET TO JUNGLE ROOTS FROM QUITO
Direct buses from Quito to Tena leave from Terminal Quitumbe Quito on regular basis and take about 5 hours depending on weather conditions and traffic.
Bus companies operating on the route: Transportes Baños, Expreso Baños, Amazonas, Pelileo.
You may consider hiring a private transport with the possibility to stop on the way and take pictures as there is plenty to see on the way. The cost of private car is $120 per way. Do not hesitate to contact us for more information on this option.
If coming by your own car, the drive should take more or less 3-4 hours.

Buses from Baños to Tena go via Puyo and should take about 4 hours.
HOW TO GET TO JUNGLE ROOTS FROM CUENCA
There are two ways you can choose from when coming from Cuenca. One is through highlands passing Riobamba and another one is jungle way going through Macas. On the road going through Riobamba you can stop at Alausí and visit the famous train Nariz del Diablo. This road is bit longer than the jungle way but pittoresque and worth the while.
If coming by bus, first you need to make your way to Ambato and from there take a direct bus to Tena.
